Laos is the 'forgotten country' of the South East Asia. The mighty Mekong River, flowing through the western flank of the country, is the pulse of the land. Life on the river carries on much as it did hundreds of years ago and holds a myraid of sights and experiences for the traveller. The sleepy town of Luang Prabang set amongst beautiful hills on the banks of the Mekong is one of the regions treasures.
