Days 1-3 Singapore
During your stay here enjoy the experience of the night markets, fantastic shopping, cuisine, entertainment and wonderful mix of Asian cultures that Singapore offers. You may wish to pre book a trip to the infamous Raffles and order your Singapore Sling.
Day 4 Sarawak
Fly to the beautiful city of Kuching and take time to wander the waterfront that is dotted with food stalls, restaurants, open air theatre and musical fountains. The Kuching Civic Centre offers a panoramic view of the city from a viewing platform during the day.
This morning travel through paddy fields, rubber plantations, pepper and oil plantations and tiny local villages. Explore the lush rainforest flanked by towering mountain peaks, visit the Serian farmer's market and stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Take a longboat ride up the Lemanak River to a traditional longhouse for a tour, cultural performance and blowpipe demonstration before an overnight stay at the Hilton Batang Ai.
Rise early this morning and have breakfast in the longhouse before returning down river with a short boat trip and then by road (approx 4 1/2 hours), and travelling on to the Damai Beach Resort, overlooking the South China Sea. Dramatically set on beautiful sandy bay with Mount Santubing providing a majestic backdrop. during your stay take a visit to the Cultural Village.
Days 8-10 Kota Kinabalu
Fly to Kota Kinabalu in the state of Sabah and transfer to the five star Shangri-La Rasa Ria resort for a 3 night stay. Whilst here there are numerous excursions that you can take as well as the Orangutan sanctuary that adjoins the hotel. Take a trip to the Poring Hot Springs and Kinabalu National Park where you discover jungle trails and observe wildlife from the 100ft canopy walkway amongst the rainforest branches.
Days 11-13 Kuala Lumpur
Fly to Kuala Lumpur and spend 2 days exploring one of Asia's most exciting cities where modern skyscrapers blend with colonial architecture. Visit the Petronas Towers, experience colourful night markets and revel in gastronomical delights.
